Up to date and accurate Regular updates ensure the high accuracy of our maps - such as the annual update of our Europe Edition in October.
Highly detailed We offer the world's largest collection of digital postal and administrative maps, available down to the finest postal and administrative levels, such as 5-digit postcodes and municipalities.
Infinitely zoomable The maps are vector-based and thus offer infinite zoom capability.
Comprehensive Use our maps which are available down to the level of street segments and perfectly match our market data. This allows you to plan seamlessly and reliably across multiple market regions and regional levels.
Our digital maps are available in all standard map formats, including *.shp (ESRI), *.tab (MapInfo), *.gdb (GeoDatabase) and *.lay (GfK). The maps are also available in the Oracle (Spatial) database format for use in Oracle Business Intelligence applications. Since October 2020, the previously used Windows encoding for shapefiles has been replaced by the more practical Unicode (UTF-8) encoding standard. In addition, the MapInfo TAB format has been changed to the more current MapInfo TAB Extended format.
Our CRESTA zones are boundary data for analyzing and sharing results related to natural catastrophes and the associated risks. Created in collaboration with PERILS CRESTA AG, the CRESTA zones give users in the insurance and risk management industries a consistent, unified, and global basis for calculating, aggregating, and communicating risk information. As such, the zones are a widely accepted standard in industry.
